Setting Static Domain Controllers and Global Catalogs Using the Set-ExchangeServer Cmdlet

Postby Ernie » Thu Aug 04, 2011 10:49 am

To set static DC/GC in Exchange 2007 or 2010 use the following command in Exchange Management Shell:

    Set-ExchangeServer "ExchangeServerName" -StaticDomainControllers DC1,DC2,DC3 -StaticGlobalCatalogs GC1,GC2,GC3
To revert back to dynamic DC/GC settings use the following command in Exchange Management Shell:

    Set-ExchangeServer "ExchangeServerName" -StaticDomainControllers $Null -StaticGlobalCatalogs $Null
